【摘要】:ThispartofISO10333specifiesrequirements,testmethods,instructionsforuseandmaintenance,marking,labellingandpackaging,asappropriate,forverticalrailsandverticallifelineswhichincorporateasliding-typefallarrester.Whenconnectedtoafull-bodyharnessasspecifiedinISO10333-1,verticalrailsandverticallifelineswhichincorporateasliding-typefallarresterconstituteapersonalfall-arrestsystem(PFAS),whichwillbespecifiedinafutureInternationalStandard.Verticalrailsandverticallifelineswhichincorporateasliding-typefallarresterinaccordancewiththispartofISO10333arelimitedtousebyasinglepersonoftotalmassnotexceeding100kg.NOTE1UsersofPFASwhosetotalmass(whichincludesattachedtoolsandequipment)exceeds100kgareadvisedtoseekadvicefromtheequipmentmanufacturersregardingthesuitabilityoftheequipment,whichmayneedadditionaltesting.NOTE2PFASusingverticalrailsandpermanentverticallifelinesinherentlylimittheuser'shorizontalmovement,whereasPFASusingatemporaryverticallifelinepermitsignificanthorizontalmovementbytheuser.Specialnoticeshouldbegiventotherequirementswhichaccommodatethisdifference.ThescopeofthispartofISO10333doesnotextendto:a)inclinedrailsandlifelines,i.e.thosewhichareinstalledatananglebetweenthetrueverticalandthelifelineorrailofmorethan15°whenviewedfromthesideelevation;b)thehorizontallyinstalledelementsofcompoundrailsorlifelines,i.e.thosewhichhavebothverticallyand-horizontallyinstalledelementslinkedbyjunctions.ThispartofISO10333doesnotspecifythoseadditionalrequirementsthatwouldapplywhenPFASaresubjectedtospecialconditionsofuse(where,forexample,thereexistunusuallimitationsconcerningaccesstotheplaceofworkand/orparticularenvironmentalfactors).Thustreatmentstoensurethedurabilityofthematerialsofconstruction(suchasheattreatment,anti-corrosiontreatment,protectionagainstphysicalandchemicalhazards)arenotspecifiedinthispartofISO10333,butshouldcomplywithappropriateInternationalStandardsor,failingthat,withnationalstandardsorotherspecificationsdealingwithrelevantphysicalcharacteristicsand/orthesafetyofusers.
