Title:Standard Practice on Markings of Modified Glazings

Scope: An increasing number of vehicle glazings are being modified after final fabrication by the glazing manufacturer. These modifications can take the form of a change in size, holes being put into the glazing, repairs made to broken glazing, or other treatments that might alter the performance of the glazing. Because federal code requires original equipment manufacturers to permanently mark the glazing to be traceable, this standard practice will extend that traceability to include modifications to the glazing.
